Fairy Bell, named after my maternal grandmother, said what she meant, and meant what she said. My mom shared with me that as soon as her siblings made it home from school, grandma would tell them, "Change your clothes, wash your hands, and come eat." Growing up on a farm in Mississippi, she was no stranger to hard work. From what I've heard throughout the years, she enjoyed cooking, and tending to her garden. Regrettably, I wasn't able to get to know her, as she passed when I was one, but she lives on in infamy through familial stories.
